It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Hayven. Fans flood his youtube page with tributes, giving admiration and sharing memories of their favorite WoW YouTuber.
Known for his narrated videos that dove deep into the lore of the World of Warcraft, Hayven (Nathan Grayson) would paint an exciting atmosphere for fellow players who shared the passion of the game. Though he may not have been able to give advice on role mechanics, he sure could hook you in with a soothing voice and tell you the obscure stories in the World of Warcraft. After a month-long absence on his account, it was announced that he had lost his battle with cancer and passed away March 18th. A touching message was left with the tribute.
Family members posted a final video to share the news of their loss and honor the YouTuber.
“He was an inspiration to many and someone who cared immensely about his fans and community. Hayven had fought epithelioid sarcoma, a rare and severe form of cancer that usually affects teenagers and young adults. You will always be missed Hayven, and although you lost to cancer, you have forever won our hearts.”
PVPLive reports that fans have flooded the comment sections of Hayven’s page, leaving memories and mourning the loss of their fellow adventurer. Many fans have already made recommendations and even started a petition for Blizzard to place Hayven into the World of Warcraft and immortalize him, just like he immortalized the Lore. Friend, HeelvsBabyface remembers his close friend of several years, “I loved him to pieces.” And, he’d respond “I love you too, mate.”
Hayven’s channel will remain up, and all funds received from his videos and his Patreon will go towards cancer research. Hayden’s absence has left a lot of people in the World of Warcraft community with a small void. Rest In Piece Hayven.
